Job Description

Agio is seeking a diligent and proactive Control Room Operator to join our team as dedicated support for a large client. As a Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring alarms, ensuring compliance with operational procedures, and actively contributing to process improvements. This role is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations.

  • Arrangement: Onsite - Centre Pointe Dr., North Charleston, SC 29418
  • Schedule: 4-5-days a week and is scheduled to work a rotating shift to include scheduled day shifts, night shifts, and support shifts
  • Travel: Some occasional traveling required for site visits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze alarms and alerts from various systems and equipment.
  • Follow established procedures to determine appropriate actions in response to alarms, incidents, or emergencies.
  • Escalate issues to appropriate personnel and authorities according to predefined protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of all alarms, incidents, and actions taken.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to coordinate responses and resolutions.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and suggest improvements to existing procedures or systems.
  • Operate and maintain control room equipment and systems in accordance with operational requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to management as required.
  • Participate in training sessions and drills to maintain readiness and proficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in a relevant field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a control room or similar operational environment is highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software relevant to control room operations.
  • Understanding of safety and security protocols.

Strongly Preferred (not required):

  • Strong understanding of Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Cisco Meraki, and Azure Firewall solutions
  • Strong understanding of popular network routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
  • Strong understanding of Azure and configuring Networks within the IaaS Platform
  • Strong understanding of first Hop Redundancy methods (HSRP, VRRP, GLBP)
  • Strong understanding of layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing
