Overland AI builds intelligent uncrewed ground systems for defense and national security. Our autonomy stack, OverDrive, is defining the state-of-the-art for perception, planning, and control of uncrewed vehicles, enabling them to traverse and operate in any terrain, regardless of roads, in any condition. OverDrive was purpose-built for the warfighter. Through our work with DARPA and the U.S. Army, we are developing the intelligent capabilities necessary to power modern ground operations, now and for decades to come.
In a little over a year, the company has been selected for or awarded eight-figures of OTAs and other contracts across multiple services and DoD customers. We have raised over $10M in funding, led by a top multi-billion dollar AUM defense tech investor.
We are seeking a talented Full-Stack Developer to join our team and help create an intuitive user interface (UI) for interacting with autonomous off-road vehicles.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain a UI that enables end-users to effectively control autonomous vehicles in the field.
- Design and implement both frontend and backend solutions, while helping to define the interface for our autonomy stack.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of experts in robotics, UI/UX design, and other disciplines.
Qualifications
- Strong technical background: A BS in Computer Science (or a related field) with 3+ years of industry experience in a relevant domain.
- Grit: You thrive in a small-team environment, taking ownership of challenges and collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to find solutions.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Experience with one or more of the following: React, FastAPI, and MQTT.
- Robotics Knowledge: Prior experience with robotic systems and middleware, particularly ROS2, is preferred.
- Bonus: Prior experience with ATAK is a plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.
- Ability to relocate to Seattle, WA.
