Job Description: Comedy Coordinator

This opportunity is for a Comedy Coordinator in talent management who will provide support to a manager and her comedy clients. This position is in NYC.

  • Advance Tour Dates: Coordinate with clients and external stakeholders to advance tour dates, ensuring all logistical details are accurately arranged. This includes liaising with venues, transportation providers, and other relevant parties to confirm schedules, accommodations, and any special requirements for comedy touring acts.
  • Schedule Meetings: Manage calendars for clients and the manager, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and conference calls as needed. Coordinate with multiple parties to find suitable meeting times, handle meeting logistics, and send out meeting agendas or follow-up notes as required.
  • Organize Data: Maintain organized databases and files containing important client information, tour schedules, meeting notes, and other relevant data. Ensure data accuracy and accessibility and assist in generating reports or summaries as requested by the management team.
  • Coverage: Provide script coverage by reading and analyzing scripts, providing concise summaries, evaluations, and recommendations. Offer feedback on plot, characters, dialogue, and overall storytelling quality to assist in decision-making processes. Connecting with buyers for coverage on upcoming and ongoing needs.
  • Client Support: Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally in a high-volume environment. Build strong relationships with clients, anticipating their needs, and proactively offering solutions and assistance.
  • Prepare expense reports, bookings, and assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1+ years of administrative experience, preferably in an agency specializing in Comedy Touring or Speakers.
  • Passion for Comedy with a distinct point of view.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in interfacing professionally with all levels of the organization, clients, and vendors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with good judgment and initiative.
  • Proficiency in social media.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Problem-solving skills with an ability to identify solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
