Location: Remote, open to candidates based in major cities/hubs across North America and South America.

Salary: $150k USD to $160k USD base salary, depending on experience and location (paid in local currency)

Product UI/UX Engineer

As a Product UI/UX Engineer, you will have ample autonomy to bring creative problem-solving to life, designing and implementing interactive, user-centered solutions that simplify complex data workflows. Working closely with engineers, product designers, and subject matter experts, you will play a vital role in enhancing the usability, appeal, and performance of our SaaS product. Your work will focus on crafting intuitive interfaces for data visualization and complex interactions, ensuring that our platform is both powerful and delightful to use.

What You’ll Be Doing & Your Impact

• Collaborate with engineers, product designers, and subject matter experts to translate business requirements into innovative, user-centered designs.
• Enhance and develop both new and existing product features to improve the overall system’s usability, performance, and appeal.
• Design and develop frontend solutions using React.js and CSS (experience with Chakra UI and Emotion CSS-in-JS is a bonus).
• Solve complex interaction challenges creatively, with a focus on data visualization (experience with D3.js, Chart.js, or ReactFlow.js is a significant asset).
• Implement performant, production-ready UI solutions with high attention to detail.
• Work autonomously to make design decisions that align with user-centered design principles and business goals.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing ideas and collaborating across disciplines.
• Optionally, contribute to backend development if comfortable, though this is not required.

Who You Are & What Makes You Qualified

• 5+ years of experience delivering production-ready solutions for digital products or campaigns.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, specifically React.js, and CSS.
• A keen eye for user-centered interactions, with the ability to design intuitive and engaging solutions.
• Experience with data visualization libraries like D3.js, Chart.js, or ReactFlow.js is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with leveraging AI tools (e.g., GPT-4, Claude) to enhance workflows and augment productivity is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma for design and quick prototyping is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with SaaS product development and an understanding of front-end performance optimization.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable navigating complex subject matter (e.g., Model Risk Management, AI, LLMs) and asking the right questions to clarify requirements.
• Self-motivated, curious, and proactive in solving problems and driving impact.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with backend development or full-stack workflows.
• A formal background in computer science or engineering.
• Interest or experience in data analytics, AI, or governance-related fields.
